History, Take Two
SGMblogger has the goods on the origins of SN’s vicious response to AMGS about copyright infringement. Take a look. SGM’s point about the unethics of revisionist history online is one that’s hard to overstate (add it to my growing list of complaints with the Ice Age of Media Relations in sg). In addition to removing “news” from the web without a word about its having existed at all for a brief period, there’s the nasty and nefarious habit of retro-stamping post-times on news stories. Keep your eye on this bouncing ball and you’ll be in for a real treat, as the two big sg “news” outlets try to retroactively be the “first” to post a story. Good work, SGM. And with posts like this, you be just as lengthy as you want.
