A New Year’s Prediction
Prognosticating is always a dangerous business best left to soothsayers
and palm readers but I wonder if it’s worth speculating about the chances
of the Inspirations retiring in the nearish future from regular touring
schedules and confining their appearances mostly to venues like the Singing
in the Smokies. Seems at least plausible that the younger guys (Melton
Campbell, Matt Dibler, and Mike Holcomb) might consider starting their
own outfit. At least that’s the word on e-street. For what that’s worth.
