Beyond labels
A letter, arriving today from SL, about the Crabbs and what label they sing under:
Email this PostRegardless of their choice of genre, I will ALWAYS be grateful, first to Jesus Christ and secondly, to Gerald Crabb and his family, unbeknownst to them, for allowing God to use them to help me through one of the two most heartbreaking times of my life. This week, 5 years ago, my mother, who was suffering from lung cancer, was admitted to the hospital. I spent 12 days there with her in the hospital. It was an hour and a half from my home and family. ( a 12 year old and a 16 year old, at that time) I only left the hospital on two ocassions to take care of finanacial obligations that I had left behind. Both of those times, as my husband was driving me back to our home town, The Crabb Family was the FIRST song on the radio as we started to drive away from the hospital
He never promised the cross would not get heavy and the hill would not be hard to climb…but He said, “Help will always come in time” … so just remember, when you are standing in the valley of decision, and adversary says give in … just hold on, our Lord will show up and He will take you “Through the Fire” again.
Then, as right now, the pain was/is more than I could/can bear. I must stop for now, I can’t go on. I hope you understand why it doesn’t matter what label The Crabb Family sings under. For me they are a blessing.
