Since my post on “Woman’s work,” which linked to the original Song Garden wanted ad seeking a “female” to do administrative work, it looks like the Song Garden folks thought better of their original ad copy. The females-need-only-apply bit has since been edited out and, according to the current ad over at sogo (as of 12:13 a.m. CST), it was “edited per request of Song Garden.” No word, though, on whose request it was to delete the comments section, which included a wonderful line about Song Garden wanting someone who comes out of a bottle and calls you master. Cost of having sogospelnews at your beck and call to clean up mistakes in your ad copy? Free. Wishing you hadn’t been quite so honest when you wrote that first classified ad? Priceless.
