Christmas pardon
First of all, I preface all comments about Christmas music from now till eternity with this post from last year. That said, if you’re looking for a reprieve or pardon or escape or whatever from hourly spins of “Chestnuts roasting on an open fire” and the Ray Conniff singers blowing bubblicious bubbles of unison pap at you every 90 minutes, go find Janet Paschal’s Christmas project from a … I dunno … sometime ago. It may well be JP at her absolute, all-time best. I also recommend B.B. King’s Christmas Blues, Michael Buble’s Christmas project, and Linda Eder’s holiday album.
