Who would fill the void if they would able to corral Doug Harrison?
Someone would step in to to keep the tradition going.
It the blogger you know is better than the blogger you do not know.

I've always thought of bloggers as being renegades - pseudo-anonymous lone rangers whose power was derived by bucking "the establishment." They've prided themselves on being thorns in the side of "the system" by freely challenging the status quo. Is corralling them into this mainstream "big tent" an attempt to demystify the whole realm - and in the process, de-claw the beast?

I wonder if all "sanctified" blogs will be asked to bear the Gaither GoodBlogkeeping Seal of Approval? Perhaps we could establish a fundamentalist's School for Doctrinely Sound Blogmasters or Blogmistresses? How about an annual awards show to celebrate the lock-step unity of all truly spiritual bloggers and their blogs? Let see...the Dove Awards are already spoken for...I know...how about the Doodoo Awards? Come on folks! The whole concept of this media type is based upon the need to have a "safe haven" for people to express themselves however they wish, within the laws of our country and the discretion of the blogmaster. The types of subjects talked about here are not talked about anywhere else, with such freedom and candor. Even if there's an occassional edge to someone's point of view, we need to hear it. I trust that the Grand PoohBahs of Southern Gospel Music will leave their hands and mouths off of this good and independent venue!

Maybe we should be careful where our little fingers go.
The organization could put us in a special place like we have many times up here in
metro Boston, Mass.
It is call the free speech area.
Should that be the case, don't worry about the location or the food but make you keep the height of your sign in the free speech area top-secret super-secure olus https.-secure.
The tallest sign gets seen the most.

[...] All right, I’ll bite. Doug Harrison has a post on the bloggers roundtable with a hilarious punch line: However, I can neither confirm nor deny that I will be wearing a paper sack. Nor can I comment on reports that we will be meeting in a top-secret super-secure underground bunker beneath Freedom Hall that’s occasionally used by the Vice President when he must go into hiding from the special prosecutor’s office (Freedom Hall, Freedom Fries, They Hate Our Freedom … you see the connection, I trust). Pre-convention intelligence does suggest, though, that should our location be compromised, a flash mob may form demanding to know Daniel Mount’s THIRD favorite Cathedrals line up. [...]
