then you should have just said that and not have been so ugly with your comments. If it’s not a big deal to you, then it’s not a big deal to you. Great. But, you have to realize, that to some people, it IS a big deal. Just be nice.

I honestly don’t have some “axe to grind” with Scott. It was just one man’s opinion. I wasn’t saying that he wasn’t talented, which he is, or I’m sure he wouldn’t have gotten the job with BFA. I merely stated that I thought he overplayed. Too much can be too much sometimes. Just because you can play it, doesn’t mean you should in every song. I was just merely surprised by the big deal that was being made over this one change in the industry. SG is like a giant revolving door where people come and go all the time and I just think that people posting on this site, and on other SG message boards seemed to be making WAY too big of a deal about a piano player leaving a group. He left. So what? SG will continue. I also think BFA would do just as well without any musicians as well as every other group in SG music as commenter #42 stated, but that’s another thread. If it were any other “non-front line” member of a major SG group, I would have made the very same argument. So all I’m saying is BIG DEAL.

It really does seem that Payton has an axe to grind with Scott and Keith. Scott is an all around nice guy. It is very talented, super kind, and very likeable. I really wish him the best. I think BFA would do just as well with out any musicians.

I would have to agree with the last comment. Obviously, Payton must have some issue with Scott. I really can’t see how. From everything I have seen or heard from people in the industry, he is one of the sweetest guys you’ll meet. He is definately an incredible talent. Sad to see him go. Great pianists are hard to find.

It really seems to me that Payton has some sort of axe to grind with Scott. It’s such a shame, too, because from everything I’ve heard from everyone in and around SGM, Scott’s a great guy.

And just to make it clear….good piano players aren’t everywhere.

Wow maybe Avery should start charging for advertisement space because it appears Mr. Plott just used some. I think it’s kinda funny because most artists (the ones that will admit to reading this blog) don’t get on here and post a rebuttal/name dropping list (of names that I didn’t recorgnize 95% of) to something that’s said about them, especially IN ALL CAPS. Apparently he feels the need to prove something. I found it wildly entertaining……

I don’t know Keith Plott…have never seen him in concert but have heard him on a recording. He seems to be a fine singer.

payton….seems as if now that you know Keith is readng, you felt lucky enough to make a pop-shot at him….Im sure he’s doing all he wants to do as a soloist….maybe perhaps not in the limelight you see most soloist in, buts hes soloing well enough….bet you wouldnt go up to his face and and repeat what you just said…hes a big ole boy ya know….I wouldnt tangle with him for sure…
