As most of you know, I’m currently conducting a survey into attitudes and beliefs about southern gospel music from the perspective of fans and professionals. The survey has been up for a few weeks now and I have been overwhelmed (in a good way) by the number and substance of your responses.
Currently there are over 600 valid responses. Such a response rate is fantastic all by itself. But leafing through the results earlier this week, I was honestly humbled and little taken aback that so many of you would be willing to share your thoughts and attitudes in such depth, insight, and candor. Thank you very much. This kind of response helps me make sure my scholarship about southern gospel music and culture reflects and takes seriously the experiences of those most directly and intimately involved with it.
I’ll be closing the survey on Friday, October 2. If you have had good intentions to take the survey but haven’t yet gotten to it, please consider taking the time to complete it now. And if there are people you know who might be interested in taking but haven’t yet done so, please suggest (or remind) them of the opportunity. Go here to take the survey.
Again, thanks so much.Email this Post
