Music you possibly won’t hear anywhere else
Via longtime reader NG, a blog where you can download old music that, as the blog’s title puts it, you possibly won’t hear anywhere else. The site includes lots of gospel but not usually southern, according to NG. The downloads are evidently only available for a limited time. NG particularly recommends the downloadable package devoted to the old song nineteenth-century tent-revial tune “Send the Light.” There are seven different versions, including a Baptist choir and the Chuckwagon Gang.

I’ve been following that music blog for a while. There was a very interesting album I had downloaded from a Haitian quartet. Some of the songs were in Creole and others in English.
